DIESEL Motorsports makes changes for the 19th Year as sanctioning body for DIESEL Pickup Trucks

DIESEL Motorsports moving into the 19th year as a sanctioning body for diesel pickup trucks has now added gas pickup truck classes to the events. This includes drag racing, sled pulling, dyno competition, and the truck show-n-shine competitions.
Gas engine trucks always wanted to compete against our diesel powerhouse engines, but the difference is always the total weight of the truck. DIESEL Motorsports has run competition between the two (gas vs diesel), however the weight issues were always addressed to make it a fair race for both sides. Average gas engine truck is sometimes 1800 lbs. lighter than a diesel engine truck.
DIESEL Motorsports will still run gas vs diesel classes at different events, but the weight difference is always factored for the class. Now the gas engine trucks have their own class to compete with like trucks for power, weight and electronics.
All classes for gas engines will be stated for each event as box or no box classes or/either footbrake/tailgate class in ET Bracket, Heads-up or Index Times.
All truck classes gas or diesel will still need to follow DM/NHRA/IHRA safety rules for racing and DM/NTPA for sled pulling. Check the safety rules for your trucks on our web site for free under rules. We all follow SFI safety set forth by SFI foundation and the insurance companies.
All trucks gas and diesel are now welcome at all of the DIESEL Motorsports events in all areas of competition. DIESEL Motorsports is looking toward a fun and competitive season in the upcoming months.
